A seasonal side-job that became a 30+ year Martinez favorite.
J&D Custom Embroidery was founded in February 1993 by Dennis and Janet Davis. The Davis's decided to purchase another local embroidery shop's equipment and supplies to stay busy during the slow winter months in construction.
After six months, they bought another machine and began working in the embroidery business full time. The seasonal side-job had become the real job.
Decades later, J&D has become a local favorite for custom company apparel — workwear, safety apparel, screen-printed event merch, embroidered uniforms, and the patches and design that go with them.
In 2023 we celebrated our 30th year in business. Ownership has changed since the early days, but the values that built the shop — customer service, quality, and care on every piece — haven't.
